Could you please tell me which app should I be using with this device?

Sure! You should use “Smart Life” for Android version 4.1 and iOS version 9.0 and above. 

Could you please tell me how to pair my device with the phone?

You should simply press and hold the reset button on the device for 5 seconds to enter the Wi-Fi configuration mode. The rest is easy – just follow the instructions in the app. You can also always refer to the manual provided for a more detailed explanation of the pairing process. 

Could you please tell me how to unpair your device from the phone?

It’s also very simple – press and hold the reset button on the device for 5 seconds to unpair it from your smartphone or you can simply select ‘Remove Device’ in the device settings menu. 

Could you please tell how can I reset the device?

There are two easy ways to do it: either press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds, or go into device’s settings menu and select ‘Restore Manufacturer Defaults’. 

I was wondering if this camera has a night vision?

Of course it does! This IP Camera has infrared night vision with up to 5 meters reach. 

I was wondering if this camera has motion detection?

Of course it does! The camera has motion detection with up to 5 meters reach.

For some reason the motion detection does not work, is there anything I can do about it?

Don’t worry! Motion detection is turned off by default. Simply switch it on in the camera settings once you start using the device. 

Could you please tell me what recording modes are available on this device?

The device is equipped with two recording modes – event recording mode, which only records when motion is detected, and non-stop recording mode, which records 24/7. 

Could you tell me if it’s possible to set a schedule for the motion detection?

Of course it is! Go into device’s motion detection settings and set up your schedule there. 

Could you tell where does the device stores the recorded data?

Sure – all the recorded data is stored safely on a micro SD card. However, the card is not included in the package. 

Could you tell what’s the maximum micro SD card’s capacity that is supported by this device?

Sure! Our device supports micro SD cards with the capacity of up to 64 GB.

I’ve run into an issue – the micro SD card is not identified for some reason, what shall I do?

Don’t worry, simply make sure that the micro SD card is inserted when the IP Camera is turned off. Also, please make sure the micro SD card is formatted as FAT32 and that its memory capacity is not higher than 64GB. 

Could you tell me what happens when the micro SD card’s memory is full?

Once the card’s memory is full, the camera will continue recording, but the new data will be saved over the oldest recorded data.

Could you tell me if the recordings saved on the micro SD card can be viewed on my laptop?

Unfortunately, due to security reasons, the recordings can only be viewed on the mobile application. However, If you want to transfer the videos to your computer, go to the playback menu and select record button to save the desired video segment. This can later be found in your phone’s storage and transferred to the computer.

Could you please tell me if this camera can be mounted on the wall or a ceiling?

The answer is yes, it can! You can easily fix the camera’s base cover to the desired surface with the help of screws and anchors included in the package. For more details, please refer to the user’s manual, which comes with the camera. 

Is it possible for the video to be turned upside down?

Of course it is – simply go to the camera’s Basic Function Settings and turn on Flip Screen option, easy!

Is it possible to view a live stream from whichever location I am at?

Yes, it is! You can connect to your camera from whichever location you are at, by using the free “Smart Life” app for smartphones and tablets. Just make sure to have your mobile device connected to the Internet or your local wireless network. 

I’ve run into an issue – the cameras’ live view stopped working, could you please tell what shall I do?

Don’t panic, simply check if your internet connection works fine or place the camera closer to the router. Last but not least – you can always try restarting the mobile app!

Is it possible to use the camera for audio communication?

Good news – yes it is! This camera has a built-in microphone and a speaker, which can be used for two-way audio communication.

I’ve run into an issue – I am unable to connect to the device on any network other than my home one, could you please tell what shall I do?

Don’t worry, the issue is simply to do with different routers. Make sure that the router you are trying to connect to has a port forwarding enabled to access the device. If that’s a bit too complicated for you to do, maybe get in touch with your network provider. They should be able to guide you step-by-step.

Is it possible to use the IP camera without a smartphone?

Unfortunately it isn’t, since the IP Camera was designed to be used specifically with smartphones – both Android and iOS devices. 

Could you tell me how to change the Wi-Fi network, which the IP Camera connects to?

Of course! Simply hold down the reset button for 5 seconds or remove the device from the app to reset the connection. Once you’ve successfully finished resetting the IP Camera, follow the Wi-Fi setup procedure in the “Smart Life” application. 

I wonder if the camera will keep recording if the Wi-Fi connection is lost?

Good news – the camera will definitely continue recording even when the Wi-Fi connection is lost. However, the live stream will stop working. Once the Wi-Fi connection is back on, the camera will continue operating in a usual mode. 

I’ve run into an issue – for some reason, I’ve stopped receiving notifications on the device.

Not to worry. Just make sure that the motion detection is turned on in the camera’s settings menu. 

Is it possible for the IP Camera to be controlled by more than one user?

Of course it is! The way it works is as follows: the user account, which initially sets up the IP Camera and connects it to the Wi-Fi network is the owner and the primary account. In order for other users to gain control over the Camera, the ‘owner account’ must ‘share’ the device with them, which can be done in the “Smart Life” app settings. This way, another user gains control over the IP Camera without going through the whole set-up process. 

Does the IP Camera support the 5GHz Wi-Fi network?

Unfortunately, the answer is no. The IP Camera only supports the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. 

I’ve run into an issue – I cannot connect to the device.

Don’t panic! You need to check a few things before it is connected again. First of all, make sure that your device is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, since 5 GHz Wi-Fi network is not supported. Secondly, make sure that the device is within the range of the Wi-Fi network, which also has a strong signal. Finally, make sure that your wireless router/access point or the network provider is not blocking the P2P (peer to peer) networking. That’s all! 

What happens after electricity loss – will the camera’s settings get back to the ones I’ve set-up or to the default ones?

Don’t worry, once the power is back on, the IP Camera will continue working as per settings you’ve set up. 

How can I check the status of the IP Camera?

That’s very simple – you can check the status of the IP Camera by using the “Smart Life” application.

I’d like to use the IP Camera outdoors, is that allowed?

Unfortunately, the answer is no, since the Camera was designed for indoor use only.
