Could you tell me which application shall I use with your device?
Of course – you should use “Smart Life” for Android version 4.1 and above, as well as iOS version 9.0 and above
Could you tell me how to pair the device with the application?
It’s very easy, you should simply follow these steps: first of all, turn off the light switch and screw in the bulb into a socket. Once installed turn on the light switch. The bulb will start blinking rapidly (EZ mode) or slowly (AP mode), with the EZ mode connection being set as default in Wi-Fi configuration. Secondly, you can turn the light bulb on and off 3 times to enable the device to switch between EZ mode and AP modes. Once that is done, simply follow the instructions in the app, or refer to the manual provided in the package for a more detailed pairing process explanation
Could you tell me what’s the difference between the connection modes?
Of course – in EZ (easy mode) mode the LED Bulb directly connects to your home router, while in AP (access point) mode the LED Bulb creates an access point which connects to the smartphone and to your home router.
* Each mode is suitable for different router types. Try one, and if it doesn’t work, try the other one
Could you tell me how to unpair the device?
Sure –simply use the Remove Device button in the device settings menu
Could you tell me how can I reset the device?
It’s very easy – simply open the application device menu and go to Settings, then click Restore Manufacturer Defaults
For some reason, the application shows that the LED Bulb is offline, what shall I do?
Unfortunately, the LED Bulb cannot be controlled via the application if the actual light switch is off. Please make sure that the light switch is on if you want to control your device using your smartphone. You can leave the light switch on and turn off the LED Bulb via the application
I was wondering if this LED Bulb is dimmable?
Yes indeed, however the LED Bulb can be dimmed via the “Smart Life” application only
I was wondering what might be the reason for the LED Bulb to start flashing?
It might have been put into a pairing mode by turning the light switch on and off quickly multiple times. Please turn off the light switch for couple of minutes to return to operational mode and turn it back on
Could you tell me how many LED Bulbs can I add and use in the application?
Great news – there’s no limit as to how many LED Bulbs you can add and use in the app
I was wondering if it’s possible to set the LED Bulb to turn on/off at a specific time?
Of course, it is! You can set the schedule to turn the device on or off at specific times
Is it possible to control multiple bulbs at the same time?
Of course, it is! If you have more than one ACME Smart LED Bulb you can group them together and control them all at the same time
I wonder where can I control the LED Bulb from?
Great news – the LED Bulb can be controlled from any location using the free “Smart Life” app for smartphones and tablets, as long as your mobile device is connected to the Internet or your local wireless network
I’ve run into an issue – for some reason I cannot connect to the device from outside of my home network, what shall I do?
Don’t worry, the issue is simply to do with different routers. Make sure that the router you are trying to connect to has a port forwarding enabled to access the device. If that’s a bit too complicated for you to do, maybe get in touch with your network provider. They should be able to guide you step-by-step
Could you tell me if I can use the LED Bulb without my smartphone?
Of course, you can – simply control it using the light switch button. However, the initial setup and pairing procedure still requires a smartphone to set up
Could you tell me if there is any difference between how I turn off the device - manually (pressing the light switch button) or by turning off the device via the “Smart Life” app?

What can I ask Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant to do with the LED Bulb?
You can ask to turn on/off the lights, dim or brighten the lights or change its color. For a more detailed explanation please refer to the user’s manual included in the package
Could you tell me if it’s possible to use multiple LED Bulbs with Amazon Alexa/Google Assistant? If so, I wonder if I should use separate names for each LED Bulb?
Great news – yes, it is possible and yes you should set a custom name of each LED Bulb, while setting them up in the “Smart Life” application
Is it possible for the LED Bulb to be controlled by more than one user?
Of course, it is! The way it works is as follows: the user account, which initially sets up the LED Bulb and connects it to the Wi-Fi network is the owner and the primary account. In order for other users to gain control over the LED Bulb, the ‘owner account’ must ‘share’ the device with them, which can be done in the “Smart Life” app settings. This way, another user gains control over the LED Bulb without going through the whole set-up process
I wonder if the LED Bulb supports the 5GHz Wi-Fi network?
Unfortunately, the LED Bulb only supports the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network
I’ve run into an issue – for some reason I cannot connect to the device, what shall I do?
Don’t panic, simply follow these steps: first of all, make sure that your device is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, since 5 GHz Wi-Fi network is not supported. Secondly, make sure that your Wi-Fi network has a strong signal. Finally, make sure that your wireless router/access point or the network provider is not blocking the P2P (peer to peer) networking. If the light switch is turned off, the power coming into the LED Bulb is cut off and therefore the Bulb cannot be controlled via the app. If you want to control the device using the application, the light switch must be turned on
I’ve run into an issue – the device unexpectedly turned off, is it something I should worry about?
Absolutely not, it might have happened simply due to your Wi-Fi network being turned off. Please turn on the light switch, check and restart the router
How can I check the status of the LED Bulb?
That’s very simple – you can check the status of the LED Bulb using the “Smart Life” application
What do I need to have ready to use the LED Bulb?
All you need is a 2.4 GHz wireless network and a mobile device connected to the internet, that’s all!
I was wondering if the LED Bulb can be used outdoors?
Unfortunately, the answer is no, since the LED Bulb was designed for indoor use only
If I move the LED Bulb to another socket, do I need to set it up again?
Fortunately, you don’t need to, since the LED Bulb remembers the IP configuration and will continue working without setting it up again (as long as you stay on the same Wi-Fi network)
