ACME picked up even two prestigious awards for the industrial design
Even two ACME design works received awards in the ceremony of the iF design awards competition in Munich. iF design awards is the greatest European design competition held annually in Germany since 1953. The award ceremony was held on the 28th of February at the impressive BMW Welt. The winners of this year were PEAK bag-backpack and MOON headphones.
The iF design awards ceremony is one of the most important events of Munich Creative Business Week. In order to pay tribute to the winners of this year the competition organizers held an astonishing festival whereto they had invited the most prominent businessmen, politicians and journalists from over the world. Around 2 000 guests attended the award ceremony. Even 50 design works received special gold awards designed by designer Herbert H. Schulte for the best works in three categories: product design, communication design and packaging design.
For the second year in a row ACME Europe has proved its exceptional ability to make an industrial design. The company is one of the world’s most highly regarded industrial design makers from the Baltic Region. The company is the only regional enterprise that has received even three awards in this competition. The PEAK bag-backpack was acknowledged as one of the most stylish and functional accessories in the leisure category, and the MOON headphones - in the audio category. Both winning products belong to the newest Urban Harmony product line.
3 249 participants were competing in the product design category. The winners were selected on the basis of assessment of their design, innovation and customer orientation. The competition commissions-independent juries were composed of internationally recognized designers, businessmen and academics.
On Saturday, after the award ceremony, an exhibition of the competition winners was opened in Hamburg. An impressive exposition is available at the Elbe Arcades Gallery in the District of HafenCity.
